Completed Hail Damage Restoration in Chagrin Falls, OH

In April of 2026 Northeast Ohio was hit by one of the largest hailstorms we’ve seen. Golf ball sized hail (2+ inches)  caused extensive damage across the entire region.

The hardest hit suburbs included Solon, Bedford Heights, Seven Hills, and Parma heights. The City of Bedford alone reported an estimated $2 to $3 million in municipal property damage, not including damage to vehicles.

After the storm, a Chagrin Falls homeowner contacted Lifetime Quality with concerns about potential damage to their main house as well as the fully shingled pool house on their property. We moved quickly to schedule a comprehensive hail inspection for both buildings.

The Main House

The main house inspection revealed widespread damage to the whole exterior. The roof, which was already aging, took the brunt of the damage. Most shingles had severe granule loss; this leaves the underlying materials exposed to UV rays, accelerating dry rot, cracking, and eventual leaks. The siding also sustained severe damage, with large dents and major paint chips. Finally, the gutters showed minor dings and dents, though they were clearly the least impacted.

The Pool House

After the main house inspection was complete our experts moved to the pool house. Even though the roof was newer it showed similar levels of granule loss as the main house. The siding looked to be in decent shape; however, the gutters suffered severe damage. There were significant dents and cracks that would affect functionality and, if left untreated, could cause further damage.

Next Steps:
Our inspection team passed on the information they gathered from both buildings to our Claim Success team. They documented the damage to help build a strong case, and advocated directly with the homeowner’s insurance to fight for they coverage they deserve.

Making the Claim :
While the extensive damage to the property was undeniable, its sheer scope required our Claims Success team to work diligently to ensure the homeowners’ insurance provider understood just how widespread the damage was. The team fought for, and secured, a full restoration for the homeowner. This included new roof, siding, and gutters, for both buildings.

Installation:
Once the claim was approved the homeowner began working with our Production Team to pick out materials and define the work scope. For both buildings, the homeowner picked Owens Corning TruDefinition® Duration Shingles in Estate Gray. Every shingle in the Duration series comes equipped with SureNail® Technology and a Class 3 hail resistance rating, giving the homeowner superior protection against high winds and future hailstorms.

The gutter systems were fully replaced on both buildings, and the homeowner elected to have the siding refurbished rather than replaced entirely. Any dings and dents were patched, and both the main house and pool house received a fresh coat of paint. Our installation team began working and had the project wrapped up in a few days.
